

Girls Clubs for Gender Equitable Society
Mohini, Ashvini, and Janhavi belonging to tribal communities went through our Mi Shakti Girls Power Leadership Development Program and these three girls together were able to mobilize more than 60 girls from five different villages by forming Girls’ Clubs and motivating them to come together stand up to create a gender-equitable society.

Girls Power
Cummins India appreciated our girls' leaders with trophies and certificates for their amazing work and for making positive changes in society, empowering more and more girls, and standing up together to fight for their rights. These young girls are not only taking up important issues like lack of menstrual sanitation facilities at schools but also lending their hands in times of crisis like collecting dry ration for the people stuck in floods or setting up poster exhibitions


Children's Day Celebration
On the occasion of Children’s Day, Our Prerana Community Centers celebrated their day in a much special way! Children decorated their centers and celebrated the day with fun activities, dance, snacks, and also children greeted each other with handmade greeting cards.


Diwali Celebration
A little get-together with our Prerana Home children for the Diwali celebration and to give these amazing girls a day full of fun, games, activities, and a lot of laughter! We gifted the girls with wristwatches and also gave them the ingredients to make the Diwali sweets.

Girls Empowerment
Our girls’ leaders organized a Press conference at Patrakar Bhavan, Pune on the occasion of International girl child day to present before the authorities the issues and concerns of girls and talked about the solutions that can be implemented on a broader scale level. Even though it was their experience presenting their issues to a larger audience, it was a successful event and they got positive responses from many reporters. Menstrual Hygiene
